Our charismatic 10‑year‑old son is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to join his weekend adventures. He loves chatting, role play, trampolining, music, swinging and trips out in the local area doing activities like swimming and shopping. He is verbal, physically active and strives to be as independent as possible. He has a genetic condition, which presents similarly to global developmental delay, as well as autism. He can struggle with change and uncertainty and find some tasks difficult as a result, but is a great character and lots of fun.

Position: Personal Assistant
Location: Keynsham
Hours: 4 hours every other Saturday/Sunday all year round (term time and school holidays)
Hourly rate: £13.35 per hour
From: August/September 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and engage in fun activities with him either one on one or alongside the family
  • Either in the family home in Keynsham, on short trips locally, or to regular scheduled activities such as disability swim club or social clubs
  • Support him with his uncertainty around routines and change
  • Ensure his safety and well‑being at all times

Requirements:

  • Friendly and caring person
  • Previous experience of working with children with Special Needs
  • Able to be physically active
  • Positive attitude and creative mindset
