Position Details
Pay: £17.00 per hour
Hours: Various. Shifts: Various.
Applicants must hold an SIA Door Supervisor licence and have experience as a Store Detective or a minimum of 3 years in Retail Security. Driving is an advantage as travel within a 20‑mile radius is required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure premises security: deter threats and maintain safety at all times.
- Enforce company policy and safeguard customers, colleagues and visitors through loss‑prevention measures.
- Create a warm and welcoming first impression for customers.
- Report and react: swiftly report incidents using digital platforms and escalating issues to in‑store management.
- Forge strong partnerships with local security, Business Improvement Districts and Police.
- Remain vigilant and proactive to detect and prevent shoplifting incidents.
- Support conflict resolution and de‑escalate using conflict‑management techniques.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in Retail Security or experience as a Store Detective.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Tech‑savvy and comfortable with digital and paper‑less reporting tools.
- Aged 18 years or older.
- Team player with drive for professional service.
