Our exciting and ambitious plan “Embracing Change, Proud to Care”. Our 2025 Vision is seeing significant investment in Adult Therapy Services to grow our specialist hospital services and position ourselves as a leading provider in the Southwest of England and beyond.

We want to recruit the best talent and currently have opportunities on our band 6 physiotherapy general rotation. We are a beacon for outstanding education and research and offer an excellent range of rotations and superb training and support.

Our rotations are 9 months in duration across BRI and Weston sites and offer a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Musculoskeletal Disorders
  • Trauma and Orthopaedics
  • General Medicine & Respiratory Medicine
  • Adult Cystic Fibrosis
  • Home Ventilation Team
  • Acute Older People’s Therapy (including specialist frailty and front door services)
  • Cardiac Surgery
  • General Surgery & Critical Care

Band 6 rotational physiotherapy staff have access to acute stroke and stroke early supported discharge rotations into regional Hyper‑Acute & Acute Stroke Units at NBT, specialist sub‑acute stroke rehab units, and the specialist Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS). Rotations are part of an integrated therapy service reporting to a Band 7 Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy team lead.

You will provide senior physiotherapy support, training and development opportunities, and may also supervise less experienced staff, technicians, and students.

Supported role details include flexible 5-, 6-, or 7‑day service shifts. Weekend working occurs on a 1:4 frequency. As a rotational physiotherapist you will also contribute to Sunday working and evening on‑call respiratory rota (training will be provided).
