About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Retail Relief Security Officer to support a portfolio of retail sites across Bristol and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a professional, reliable, and flexible Security Officer who enjoys working across different locations and supporting a variety of sites. As a Relief Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining site security, supporting store teams, and ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security support across multiple retail locations
- Conduct regular patrols of stores and surrounding areas
- Deter and prevent theft, anti-social behaviour, and criminal activity
- Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports using company reporting systems
- Liaise with store management, colleagues, police, and emergency services where required
- Monitor CCTV systems where applicable
- Support loss prevention initiatives and investigations
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Ensure compliance with all company and client policies
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel across Bristol and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic IT knowledge and confidence using reporting platforms and mobile applications
- Professional, dependable, and self‑motivated approach
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings where required
