McCarthy & Stone are recruiting for a professional Relief Care Assistant to join the team at our prestigious Barnhill Court development in Chipping Sodbury, Bristol. Built in 2015, Barnhill Court is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 60 apartments with the over 70s in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.
Hourly rate: £13.26 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends.
Hours: To cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality of individual care to residents enabling them to live later life well.
- Deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans.
- Support and encourage residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing.
- Help residents to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping.
- Use your people skills to make a real difference.
About you
- A warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
- A passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy work setting.
- Driven to deliver excellent customer service.
- Desire to work in the Health and Social care sector, preferably with a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, although consideration will be given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
