The Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre is a regional leading cancer centre and committed to providing excellent patient-centred care and a supportive environment for all our staff. We are an innovative department, with an active research portfolio.
The role of RSM in Bristol is an exciting post where you would oversee not only the External Beam Radiotherapy service (a 5 Linear Accelerators, all matched Elekta Versa’s Linac’s, delivering all sites SABR, SGRT, Clarity ultrasound verification), but also the Gamma Knife Centre (“All Tiers” service), Brachytherapy, Late Effects Service and Molecular Radiotherapy Unit (MRU). We are nationally recognised for our specialist services and run several Master Level modules in collaboration with our local Higher Education Institute.

To lead the radiotherapy service at the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, based in the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC). The service treats approximately 3,000 new patients a year. It operates as part of a wider Operational Delivery Network with eight other radiotherapy providers across the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucester (SWAG) and the Peninsula, Cancer Alliances. The department has an extensive range of equipment and procedures that drive forward technical developments to support the translation of research into the clinical service.
