An exciting opportunity has arisen for the department of Haematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (HOB) to expand our CNS service. We are looking for full‑time and part‑time Band 7 Leukaemia Clinical Nurse Specialists. The post holder will work as an integral member of the Multidisciplinary Team within University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and across the community.
Responsibilities
The post holder will: acknowledge and provide overall responsibility for the provision of specialist nursing advice and support to patients and families, both in‑patient and out‑patient, throughout their care pathway. They will utilize clinical expertise, leadership, education and management skills to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. The post holder will provide advice, support and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout the care pathway, work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community, and be actively involved in education, audit and research. They will engage and lead discussions in multidisciplinary team meetings and support people and vulnerable adults.
Qualifications
We would welcome applications from enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate nurses with a proven track record of good organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate exceptional clinical leadership. Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills are essential, along with extensive experience and knowledge within Haematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant.
