We are seeking an experienced and dynamic paediatric nurse with excellent clinical, communication, and decision‑making skills. You will be able to manage competing priorities, make high‑level decisions, and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to lead and deliver expert care for critically ill children.

Responsibilities

  • Use advanced clinical assessment and decision‑making skills to support the care of acutely unwell children across the hospital.
  • Act as a professional role model, supporting, educating, and developing nursing and junior medical staff in paediatric acute and high‑dependency care.
  • Focus on clinical leadership, care delivery, and education for higher‑acuity patients.
  • Lead clinical management pathways and promote high standards of holistic, evidence‑based care across all clinical areas.
  • Work autonomously throughout the hospital, leading, managing, and supervising patient assessment and care delivery for children and vulnerable adults.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be RSCN or RN‑Part 15 (Child Branch) and hold a post‑registration qualification in a related acute paediatric field.
  • Excellent communication skills, proven acute paediatric clinical skills, and organisational, leadership and management expertise.
  • Previous experience as an Outreach Nurse is desirable.
