One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Stock shelves, replenish stock and maintain store appearance.
- Process payments accurately at tills.
- Assist customers at self-service checkouts, addressing assistance calls and providing clear guidance.
- Carry out cleaning, tidying and safety checks to keep aisles clear and secure.
- Support the store’s post office operations (if applicable), including day-to-day duties and background checks.
- Perform duties across all areas of the store, including online, replenishment, vending and stock routines.
- Replace the Shift Leader or Store Manager when absent, managing the shift responsibly.
- Adhere to all safety, security and company policies, including wearing safety equipment where required.
- Follow the Think 25 policy for age-restricted product sales.
- Encourage customer feedback through surveys and use this information to improve service.
- Maintain accurate clock-in/out records for payroll.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of a school leaver’s age (eligible for the role).
- Relevant background checks, including a Post Office financial and criminal conviction check where required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of one team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting responsibilities.
