Are you a newly qualified Midwife with an NMC PIN looking for a new opportunity? We are also looking for 3rd year student midwives who will qualify in September 2026. You are eligible to apply for this position. We have fixed‑term and substantive positions available and can offer a robust induction and preceptorship package to support you to become confident.
As a Rotational Midwife, you will be joining a team of experienced professionals and be part of a consultant‑led Obstetric Unit with 2 HDU rooms, 9 birthing rooms and a pool room. You will be required to work a day/night shift pattern, including being part of the on‑call rota. We can offer a variety of hospital and community‑based rotations to build your expertise.

The care includes preventive measures, detection of abnormal conditions in the mother and child, procurement of medical assistance and execution of emergency measures in the absence of medical help. Able to exercise clinical judgement for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in partnership with women within the practice area. Provide antenatal and postnatal care to women. Provide intra‑partum care and deliver babies. Work autonomously within guidelines and sphere of professional practice. With experience, ensure delivery of high quality midwifery care by effectively coordinating and professionally leading the clinical midwifery team and support staff in the absence of the senior midwife.
