North Bristol NHS Trust are seeking to appoint a Materials Management Assistant to join our dynamic team. Working predominantly on your feet in busy clinical environments including within the state of the art Brunel building, you will be part of a team managing the replenishment of a wide range of hospital consumables.

Responsibilities

  • Generating orders based on established PAR levels.
  • Checking and unpacking deliveries.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of storage areas.
  • Working across the NBT site in a number of different locations.
  • Liaising with a wide range of hospital staff and external suppliers.
  • Problem solving in order to ensure that supply is maintained all year round.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of supply chains.
  • Well organised and able to use your own initiative.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a supply chain role.
  • Membership or training for CIPS or HCSA desirable.
  • GCSE standard education.
  • Computer literate, with decent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working within an office environment desirable.
  • Good communication skills and strong team ethic.

Working Hours

Shifts will be allocated on a rotational basis across the team to cover the service hours of 7:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available to work any 7.5‑hour shift within those hours.
