Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Material Control Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics team in Thornbury. This is a varied warehouse-based role offering full training and long-term opportunities for candidates with previous warehouse experience and strong attention to detail.

Shift Pattern & Pay

  • Monday to Friday rotating shifts.
  • 06:00 - 14:00.
  • 12:00 - 20:00.
  • £13.91 per hour.
  • Overtime paid at premium rates.

Key Duties

  • Receive, check, and book in materials against delivery notes.
  • Pick and issue materials for production, instruments, and marketing.
  • Carry out accurate stock picking and warehouse duties.
  • Support weekly inventory and stock management activities.
  • Assist departments with stock and non-stock queries.
  • Produce commercial invoices.
  • Carry out PAT testing duties following training.
  • Complete manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience essential.
  • Counterbalance and Reach Truck experience beneficial.
  • FLT licence preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Good computer and system skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to learn internal systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Own transport required due to location if not local to Thornbury.
