We are seeking an Activities Assistant (Wellbeing Assistant) to support our residents at Lovell Place care home, providing residential, dementia and nursing care.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas.
  • Comply with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, including reporting of H&S incidents.
  • Carry out day‑to‑day repairs and some refurbishment activity to maintain standards in the care home.
  • Actively engage with staff, relatives and families as part of the care home team and regularly engage with residents.
  • Ensure that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept.
  • Maintain excellent communication with the Home Manager and residents.

About you:

  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated Health and Safety awareness.
