Do you have vocational or tertiary qualifications relevant to engineering or quality assurance such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, I and C, Welding or Coatings? Are you looking for a role where you can directly influence the quality, compliance and successful delivery of one of the UK’s most significant nuclear infrastructure projects?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major Tier 1 technical services organisation supporting the delivery of the programme, the UK’s first new nuclear power station in over two decades. As the project continues to scale, the LTQR Lead role has been created to strengthen documentation governance, ensure regulatory compliance and support the safe, timely handover of critical systems and assets. Your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the delivery and compliance of LTQR processes, procedures and physical sample management for assigned projects and MDTs.
  • Work with Project, Quality and Completions Managers to ensure Works Information contains accurate and sufficient handover documentation requirements.
  • Manage and support a team of Records Support Officers to ensure timely delivery, review and approval of LTQRs.
  • Liaise with Quality Managers and Project Teams to validate contractor partitioning strategies and ensure alignment with NNB expectations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for unified LTQR compilation, submission and review across offsite and onsite works.
  • Produce and maintain LTQR technical and non-technical checklists, ensuring correct filing and linkage within the EDRMS.
  • Promote awareness and compliance with Licence Condition 6 (LC6) across contractors and MDTs, delivering briefings, meetings and guidance.
  • Coordinate with Tier 1 contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure subsidiary LTQRs are identified, scheduled and linked appropriately.
  • Represent the LTQR function at Quality Boards, providing updates on LTQR status, progress and key milestones.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or I and C, or equivalent.
  • Experience using Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • Vocational training or specialist qualifications such as Level 3 Welding, Electrical certification, or Coatings accreditation.
  • Extensive experience delivering large, complex projects in sectors such as Oil and Gas, Power, Chemical or Industrial.
  • Experience working within high-security or highly regulated environments.

It’s great if you also have the following:

  • Experience supporting nuclear projects or working within nuclear-licensed environments.
  • Familiarity with LC6 requirements and nuclear documentation standards.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring documentation or quality teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The setting for the role: You will be part of a large, established technical services organisation with over 8,000 UK employees, working within the programme. The role may involve a blend of office, site and supplier-location work, depending on project needs, with collaboration across Project, Quality, Completions and Records teams. The environment is highly regulated, fast-paced and focused on delivering a nationally significant clean energy asset.
