A vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust. Applications are invited for a nine‑month locum consultant post in Respiratory Medicine, joining the Respiratory Department across the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Weston General Hospital. The appointee will contribute to department activities on a rotating basis with other consultants, including care of general respiratory inpatients, Respiratory High Care inpatients, Hot Clinic, bronchoscopy/EBUS, and general respiratory and subspecialist clinics.

Sub‑specialty Interests

The department welcomes consultants with all sub‑specialist interests; however, candidates with an interest in interstitial lung disease will be favoured, with experience in ILD clinics and MDTs. Other sub‑specialty areas that could be catered for include bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, integrated care, asthma, pleural disease, sleep & non‑invasive ventilation, lung cancer and tuberculosis.

Work Arrangement

We have approval for one full‑time locum (10PA) post, but applicants wishing to work less than full time may be accommodated and are encouraged to apply. This post will include on‑call duties as part of the Bristol Royal Infirmary on‑call rota.

Qualifications

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their CCT and ideally have NHS experience.
