We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team.
Responsibilities
- Providing whole-class cover during PPA, other short‑term teacher absences and subject leader release time.
- Teaching a specialist subject across the primary phase (eg PE / Computing / Music / Art / MFL).
- Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum.
- Delivering learning activities to individuals, groups and whole classes.
- Providing support to pupils with SEND and delivering interventions.
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion in line with our ethos and policies.
- Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, progress and personal development.
- Engaging in relevant CPD related to the role.
Working Arrangements
- 32.5 hours per week over 5 days (8.30am to 4pm, with a one hour lunch break).
- Contract: Fixed term contract from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027, with the possibility of extension.
- Start date: 3rd September 2026.
- Term time only + inset days.
Salary
- BG9 salary scale £32,061 to £34,434 pa (Actual salary £24,628 to £26,451) for 32.5 hours per week.
