About the Role
As a Production Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily production activities, ensuring smooth operations across the department, and helping the team achieve maximum efficiency and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Support and deputise for the Zone Manager when required
- Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to production operatives
- Monitor team performance and ensure effective staffing across the shift
- Address staffing issues promptly and escalates where necessary
- Support onboarding and buddy training for new starters
- Carry out effective shift handovers with previous management teams
- Ensure pre‑start checks are completed and equipment is operational
- Maintain production readiness and cleanliness standards
- Complete toolbox and equipment checks at the start and end of shifts
- Ensure all paperwork and CCP checks are completed accurately and on time
- Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture
- Ensure correct PPE is worn in line with colour‑coded procedures
- Follow factory procedures and report any issues or discrepancies
- Support traceability and food safety standards across the department
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, ability to motivate and support a team
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Strong teamwork and organisational skills
- Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment
- Food Safety Level 2
- Health & Safety Level 2
- Knowledge of production operations and processes
