Join the team at Cabot Circus Shopping Centre to manage the control room and ensure the safety and security of the centre. Your shift pattern will be a 4 on 4 off rota (07:00‑19:00 & 19:00‑07:00). Pay rate: £16.22 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ‘live' operation of the Mitie Team that manages the essential functions of the control room.
- Oversee all common and public areas of the shopping centre.
- Manage client emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Track officer time and attendance.
- Ensure health, safety & welfare of the Mitie site‑based team and incidents that affect the client and Mitie.
- Lead business continuity planning centred on the continued operation of the control room and shopping centre.
- Maintain client building security and safety.
- Provide a high standard of response to telephone and e‑mail enquiries.
- Supervise and support all onsite Mitie personnel.
- Provide timely and effective communication to all within the business, including the centre manager and client board level on incidents that occur on or affect the centre.
- Update and collate incident information, daily reports and flash reports.
- Track serious incidents and manage their resolution.
- Report absenteeism and lateness.
- Report systems faults.
- Manage incidents and direct personnel with support from team leaders, shift managers or senior operational managers where applicable.
- Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively through to completion.
- Communicate business issues to the relevant centre departments.
- Maintain security standards for access, egress and visitor regulation.
- Be fully conversant with the methods of working of all equipment and ensure it meets the required standard and quality.
- Handle all day‑to‑day enquiries that arise regarding the daily operation of the centre’s security.
- Develop and maintain good working relations with applicable local agencies and services.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests from management or client.
- Complete entry, checking and filing of all accident and health and safety reports relating to AIR2 and Quooda.
- Ensure compliance with the CCTV policy and audit trail.
- Ensure the issue of keys aligns with procedure and is fully auditable.
