Fully integrated member of the Airways team supporting the diagnosis and care for patients with complex airways disease.

  • Attendance at MDT meetings
  • Undertaking outpatient clinics
  • Ad hoc advice for inpatients for complex airways disease
  • Support MDT to provide rapid access biologics clinic
  • Supervised assessment of inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO) & breathing pattern disorders (BPD)
  • Actively participate in research, quality improvement and audit relevant to complex airways and the delivery of a regional service
  • Opportunity to undertake a PhD

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the GMC
  • MBBS or equivalent, and MRCP (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience of general medical posts
  • Ideally sub-speciality experience in the management of patients with complex airways disease
  • Evidence of recent CME/ reasonable training progression at this stage of career
  • Previous evidence of airways research
  • Experience in service development/ audit project and write up
  • Strong leadership experience and values
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
