Salary: £12.60 hourly rate

Job Description

We’re excited to invite enthusiastic and customer‑focused individuals to join our team as a Catering Assistant/Barista in Bristol, United Kingdom. In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of our food service operations, crafting delicious beverages and providing exceptional customer experiences.

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages to our valued customers.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of light snacks and food items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the coffee station and front‑of‑house areas.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and proper handling procedures for all food and drink items.
  • Monitor inventory levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies, reporting shortages to management.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing dietary concerns and preferences.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills in food service, beverage preparation, and customer service.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down catering events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a catering or barista role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and trends.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of common food allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on food service industry trends and best practices.
  • Food safety certification is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
