Are you a Level 3 NVQ Qualified Carpenter? Do you have experience of building maintenance and minor new works? Would you like to work in the healthcare environment? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity at UHBW! We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our Estates Team as a Building Tradesperson on a permanent basis. This rare opportunity offers an individual the experience of working with a complex large healthcare estate and contributing to improving patient experience.

You will work 4 days a week and shifts will be on a rota basis, hours are between 7:00-19:30.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out minor and general carpentry installation work, e.g. door locks, fire seals, fire doors etc.
  • Interpret and work from instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to key trade, with minimal supervision.
  • Undertake routine maintenance (PPM) of building infrastructure.
  • Liaise with customers and other key stakeholders with regards to building maintenance and minor new work schemes.
Qualifications
  • Be a qualified carpentry craftsperson.
  • Have an understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Be a team player and clear communicator.
  • Have experience in fault finding in building infrastructure.
