The predicted salary is between 47810 - 54710 £ per year.

We are looking to recruit two Band 7 nurses to join our dynamic nursing team. The post holder will be involved in assessing patients across the Trust with Alcohol Use Disorder, providing support and advice around safe management of alcohol withdrawals and ongoing recovery support to patients, families and ward staff. Excellent communication and time management skills are vital. Working closely with your nursing and medical colleagues, you will help manage the care of inpatients.

Post Details: 1 × 37.5 h per week, Permanent – Weston General Hospital; 1 × 30 h per week, Permanent – Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate politeness, courtesy and sensitivity in providing compassionate care for patients, visitors/relatives and colleagues.
  • Contribute towards sharing good practice within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote a positive image of University Hospital Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust at all times.
  • Work cohesively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and promote effective liaison to ensure that the very best services to patients are provided at all times.
  • Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team, participate in motivating and supporting team members, maintain confidentiality with patients and carers, and give written and verbal advice/teaching to patients and carers.
  • Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families and carers from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment and follow-up phases of treatment and care.
  • Educate and share expertise with the multidisciplinary teams.
  • Act as a resource in the care of patients with specialist care needs, ensuring an optimum level of service to patients and their carers.
  • Work closely with community and or network teams, other hospital and community staff to ensure an effective seamless service.
  • Develop effective communication and support systems for patients and their families.
  • Embed patient and public involvement within the sphere of practice.
  • Ensure that all patients and families are aware of all treatment options, including clinical trials, welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
