Are you a patient and resilient male Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1-2-1 SEND role? Do you have experience supporting children with complex needs both emotionally and academically? Are you looking for a unique opportunity offering excellent daily pay for just 10am - 1pm, five days a week?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a provision in the DY13 area that is looking to appoint a dedicated male SEND Teaching Assistant to support a student with complex additional needs on a 1-2-1 basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant who can provide consistency, encouragement and tailored support to help a young person thrive within their learning environment.

The school is highly supportive and will provide any visuals or physical resources needed to help the successful SEND Teaching Assistant support the student effectively. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work Monday to Friday from 10am - 1pm, providing emotional and academic support to a student with complex SEND needs.

The role requires a calm, patient and understanding SEND Teaching Assistant who can build a positive relationship with the student while supporting engagement, emotional regulation and confidence throughout the school day.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • The ability to provide emotional and academic support on a 1-2-1 basis
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • The ability to remain resilient and adaptable
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
