ABP UK Shrewsbury are looking to recruit Operatives who will be accountable for the effective, efficient and economic packing of Beef and Lamb products. Dayshift runs from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 3:30pm with a rotating day off. Nightshift runs from Sunday to Friday from 5pm to 1:30am with a rotating night off.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure agreed throughput and yield targets are met.
  • Continuous improvements in efficiency achieved and communicated.
  • Pack product to specification.
  • To ensure the most effective and efficient utilisation of department resources, labour and machinery.
  • Attend meetings when required by your supervisor.
  • Ensure products meet the customers' requirements.
  • To be aware of HACCP.
  • Adhere to current legislation regarding safe food production.

Knowledge and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a strong generalist background gained in a comparable environment and have excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to meet the demands of a fast paced environment.
