A great opportunity has arisen to work with Staffline and join our client, the UK's leading Bakery in Stoke on Trent, as a Bakery Operative. We are looking for a Skilled Bakery Operative who is hard-working, willing to learn, and keen to progress. The role would suit an individual with the ability to perform in a physically demanding, fast-paced and agile environment. The rate of pay is £14.64 to £15.05 per hour when qualified. This is a full-time role working Monday to Thursday and the hours of work are: 6am to 6pm.
Your Time at Work:
- As a Bakery Operative, you will be working with fast-paced production lines, a high-pressure environment, and a busy planning schedule, which means the lines will stop and change product, requiring equipment changes in between production runs.
Key responsibilities:
- Checking and weighing raw ingredients
- Ensuring correct machine settings
- Quality checking ingredients
- Maintaining a clean and safe production environment
- In-depth cleaning, including taking machinery apart and using chemicals.
- Ensure own personal hygiene meets the H&S requirements of a food factory
- Complete CCP checks thoroughly with Full training provided
- Completing paperwork accurately
Essential:
- Be enthusiastic and conscientious
- Understand or be willing to learn the principles and application of Food Safety
- Have the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Demonstrate the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Good level of maths and English
- Able to follow instructions and production schedules
Desirable:
- Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
- Previous experience in cleaning food manufacturing equipment
