Morson Edge are currently seeking an Avionics biased Aircraft Assembly Fitter for one of our Aerospace/Defence clients based near Shaftesbury.
Job Purpose
The Aircraft Assembly Fitter (Electrical) Experienced is responsible for the electrical assembly, wiring, and integration of aircraft or uncrewed aerial system (UAS) electrical systems, looms, and sub-assemblies within aerospace, defence, or other high integrity engineering environments. The role supports the safe, accurate, and high quality build of aircraft electrical systems in accordance with approved engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and quality standards. Working with limited supervision, the post holder plays a key role in achieving right first time build, airworthiness, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in aircraft electrical assembly or electrical integration.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and build instructions.
- Experience with crimping, connector assembly, loom installation, and electrical testing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality workmanship.
- Ability to work safely in a regulated aerospace or high integrity environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
