Salary Scale SCP: 13 - 17 (£29,064 to £31,022 per annum), plus NJC annual pay award and Local Government Pension Scheme.
Bridgwater Town Council is seeking a Marketing Officer to support the delivery of clear, engaging and accessible communications that reflect the Council’s services, responsibilities and values.
Working as part of a small and supportive team, you will be responsible for promoting Council services, initiatives and events in a way that is informative, inclusive and consistent with the Council’s corporate approach.
You will play a key role in ensuring that important information reaches a wide and diverse audience, using a range of communication channels including digital platforms, the Council’s website and printed materials.
The successful candidate will have experience in marketing, alongside strong writing skills and a high level of attention to detail.
You will be able to manage a varied workload, balancing longer-term campaigns with day-to-day communications requirements.
The ability to communicate effectively with different audiences is essential, alongside a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, external partners and community organisations.
