Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for experienced Fabricator/Welders for a Client in the Bridgend area.

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in sheet metal work and mechanical assembly. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising a range of hand and power tools, and contributing to the realisation of high-quality metal structures and components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal.
  • Fabricate components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials with precision using appropriate tools.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements.

Experience

  • Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals is desirable.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, day shifts.
