Responsibilities
- Manage referrals received from local authorities and use key information and matching criteria to ensure placements are carefully matched to children's needs.
- Use initiative and work independently to devise creative solutions to foster placement requests.
- Serve as the first point of contact between local authorities, foster families and social workers.
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues within and outside the agency through written and face-to-face communication.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation related to referrals and placements.
Qualifications
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a children's services sector is an advantage but not essential.
- Passion and motivation to make a difference to the lives of children and families.
- Successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
