ASD Learning Support Assistant in Bridgend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN/A SD (preferred but not essential)
• A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting additional learning needs
