Gwernyfed High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive and hardworking Site Supervisor to join our committed team. This is a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure, and maintained to the highest possible standard for our pupils, staff and wider community.
Working Pattern: Thursdays and Fridays: 11:00am - 7:30pm including 30 minute lunch
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the security of the site, including locking/unlocking and responding to alarms.
- Carrying out health and safety checks and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.
- Supporting the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds.
- Undertaking daily caretaking and cleaning tasks as required.
- Maintaining outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean and well presented.
- Supporting the management and use of the school minibus (training provided if required).
- Responding promptly to issues to ensure the site remains a safe and welcoming environment.

- Reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work.
- Experience in general maintenance, cleaning or site management.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Committed to high standards of health and safety.
