Retail Store Manager
35 hours per week. Established in 2012, Grape Tree currently has 197 stores in the UK. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager to represent our Company in our brand new Brecon store.
Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing fast, efficient, pleasant, and unrivalled customer service.
- Ensuring the store is well stocked, clean, tidy, and that customers leave with a lasting positive image.
- Stock control: ordering goods, dealing with deliveries, and banking monies.
- Hands‑on management of the store.
- Operating the till in accordance with company instructions.
- Ensuring shelves are well stocked, faced up, and properly priced.
- Managing stock rotation, removing goods exceeding their use‑by date, and advising management of best‑before issues.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
- Observing company rules and reporting any breaches.
- Ensuring all staff cooperate to run the store smoothly.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent customer service skills, preferably with experience in food retail.
- Good cash handling skills.
- Strong staff supervision and organisational skills.
- Organised, practical, and willing to roll up sleeves and get stuck in.
- Experience as a Retail Store Supervisor/Manager, in food retail, supermarkets, convenience stores, etc.
Working Hours
The store trades Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate must be flexible to work within these hours.
