Job Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – School Nurse. We welcome applications from qualified SCPHN school nurses, who may be looking for a change of location and a new challenge. Current student SCPHN school nurses are also welcome to apply. Applicants need to hold a SCPHN school nurse qualification or this qualification is pending.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills and a broad knowledge of working in the community with children and their wider family.
- Support the delivery of the universal offer in a 0-19 integrated neighbourhood team.
- Manage a universal plus and partnership plus caseload, working collaboratively with other agencies to ensure protection and the best health outcomes for children and families in Bolton.
- Work within the community dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of need.
- Deliver evidence-based service using a wide range of assessment and intervention tools, providing excellent support alongside a wider multidisciplinary 0-19 service.
Qualifications:
- Hold a SCPHN school nurse qualification or have it pending.
- Be NMC registered, part 3 Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – School Nurse.
