We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Sonographer to join our Radiology Team and fulfil the role of an Ultrasound Clinical Tutor.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Lead Sonographer and independently deliver and co‑coordinate the practical aspects of University courses within the department.
- Coordinate and deliver specialist clinical training and education to sonographers, midwife ultrasound practitioners (MUPs) and ultrasound trainees.
- Carry out and report on specialised ultrasound examinations to a high standard in a professional manner.
- Work closely with the sonography team, senior colleagues and radiologists across the Trust to develop and maximise training and education within the ultrasound service.
- Support departmental governance, multi‑disciplinary team meetings and patient database contributions.
Qualifications & Experience
- PGC/D in Medical Ultrasound (or equivalent).
- Registration on the voluntary SCoR sonographer, HCPC or NMC registration expected.
- Experienced sonographer with excellent clinical skills.
- Advanced experience in general medical, obstetric and gynaecological scanning, and across a wide range of examinations is advantageous.
