Kitchen Assistant at Essa Academy. Contract: Permanent. Status: Part Time (27.5 hours / 39 working weeks). Location: Essa Academy, Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, BL3 3HH. Salary: SCP4-SCP5 (£25,185.00 - £25,583.00 FTE); pro rata salary £16,538.00 - £16,799.00.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the food preparation, handling and storage of foods.
- Support in maintaining the kitchen, associated areas and equipment to a high level of cleanliness.
- Play a key role in supporting the effective service of food to students, promoting a nutritious and healthy diet.
Requirements and Safeguarding:
The role involves regulated activity relevant to children; the post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Enhanced disclosure and barring service checks will be undertaken; safer recruitment practices apply. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks and safeguarding / health & wellbeing expectations for pupils.
