St Gregory’s RC Primary School is currently seeking an HLTA to lead our internal SEND provision under the direction of the SENDCo. The post-holder will work closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to ensure each pupil achieves their full potential.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of working with children with a wide range of educational needs.
  • Passion for learning and a commitment to the aims, purpose and ethos of the diverse school.
  • Effective communication with all members of the school community.
  • Responsible for planning learning opportunities for children within the internal provision with support from the SENDCo.
  • Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practices.
  • Experience of working within EHCPs and multi‑agency working.
  • Knowledge of specific interventions or approaches (e.g., Attention Autism).
  • Flexibility, openness to new ideas and a team‑player attitude.
  • Effective behaviour management skills and understanding of trauma‑informed approaches.
