Responsibilities:
- Support with the daily operation within a professional kitchen environment by assisting with routine food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene, and helping to ensure the smooth flow of kitchen activities.
- Assist in basic food preparation such as salad preparation.
- Gain an understanding of food safety within a professional setting as well as understanding the importance of allergens.
- Train in handling cash alongside colleagues within the café.
- Work alongside catering colleagues in offering customer service (serving) and gaining an understanding of portion control and its importance to maximise profit.
