Our client, a leading vehicle rental company with over 35 years of industry experience, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician to join their Birmingham workshop.

- Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00 – 17:30
- 1 in 4 Saturdays, 08:00 – 12:00

Duties
- Service, maintain, and undertake warranty work on a fleet of approximately 3,000 vehicles, including vans, light commercial vehicles, and cars
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Carry out repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs to ensure compliance and roadworthiness
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring vehicles are repaired efficiently and returned promptly
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed as a technician
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workshop operation
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or Repair
- Proven workshop experience, handling routine services and complex diagnostic work
- Ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced environment, following standard job times
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise and plan workload efficiently
- Hands‑on approach and willingness to assist colleagues
- Dedication to delivering high‑quality work and excellent customer service
- Experience working with light commercial vehicles (LCVs) is advantageous but not essential
