Position Overview

Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist – Salary: £34,821.10 per annum. Base: Cygnet Raglan House, 66-68 Raglan Road, Birmingham, B66 3ND. Responsible to: Head Occupational Therapist (Line manager). Hours: Part Time, 34 Hours. Contract duration: Fixed term 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical care including person‑centred OT assessment and interventions.
  • Work in an integrated way with the support team and wider multidisciplinary team to assist the service in providing outcome‑based care and support pathways.
  • Operate as an autonomous clinician within a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Hold supervisory responsibility for others and take a leadership role in specific projects.
  • Assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to the individual's diagnosis and identified needs.
  • Develop treatment plans and care and support plans based on assessments and team formulation.
  • Empower staff to improve the quality of care through training, modelling and coaching.
  • Participate in CPD and service development initiatives, including specialist interest groups and innovative practice.
  • Undergo thorough induction and receive ongoing support and supervision from the Head Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS check and reference check required. Successful completion of these checks is a condition of employment.
