About the Role
Site Manager (Retrofit) located in Smethwick office, with site activities across Midlands, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and surrounding areas. Typical working hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
In this role you will manage a skilled professional trade team in safe, secure environments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, zero defects and no health & safety risks.
You will deliver varied works including EWI, CWI, loft installations, ventilation, heating, and solar systems across multiple, live site locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including subcontractors) and manage site activities.
- Collect and produce all preconstruction information and contract documentation on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
- Identify site hazards, implement risk assessments, control methods and ensure compliance with Construction Phase Health & Safety and statutory requirements.
- Assist in estimate, bid and tender preparation in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
- Create, manage and report on projects across multiple live site locations using a master programme.
- Collect relevant documentation, evidence recording and meet tight deadlines for project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong experience in Planned refurbishment works, preferably with good knowledge of Retrofit in Social Housing/tenanted properties.
- Good working knowledge of EWI/CWI, insulation, ventilation, heating and solar installations.
- Experience managing delivery through to completion/handover and handling complex documentation.
- Commercial awareness and ability to keep costs within budget.
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships with clients and tenants.
- Full UK driving licence, SMSTS or equivalent NVQ, 3‑day First Aid, confidence with IT and proficiency in MS Office.
- DBS check required.
