About the role
Hays Education is supporting a local school in recruiting a dedicated SEN English Teacher. The role will begin in September 2026 and run till Easter in the first instance.
Location & Schedule
The school is located in North Birmingham, about a 15‑minute drive from the city centre. It caters for students at KS4 level with social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH) and additional SEN. The role entails teaching these children in class. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on a term‑time only timesheet basis.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the English curriculum at GCSE level.
- Plan, teach and assess according to the curriculum.
Qualifications
- Hold QTS or have extensive experience teaching science at the unqualified level.
- Will receive training for those without experience in such settings.
- Recent satisfactory references reflecting this experience.
