We are currently recruiting for a full‑time, fixed‑term Receptionist to join Cadbury College until the end of the academic year. This is a key role within the College, as the Receptionist is often the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors and plays an important part in creating a welcoming, professional and well‑organised environment.
The role is varied and focused, offering the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the College while gaining valuable experience in an educational setting.
Responsibilities:- Receiving and welcoming visitors to the College, issuing visitor passes and dealing with student and parent queries.
- Handling incoming calls to the switchboard and directing calls as appropriate.
- Monitoring the student absence line and recording details on the ProMonitor system.
- Control of barriers for students, visitors and deliveries, ensuring the College entrance is kept tidy.
- Handling incoming and outgoing post, including parcels and arranging collections.
- Assisting with examination administration and certificates as required by the Exams Officer.
- Assisting other clerical staff with typing and data input.
- Good standard of Maths (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent).
- Some experience of basic administrative tasks, such as data input or record keeping.
- Experience of working in a front‑facing reception or customer service environment.
- Experience or knowledge of working in an educational environment is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to be flexible.
