The Successful Candidate Will Have Essential:
- Mandatory qualification as a Qualified Teacher of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment — QTVI.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting children or young people with visual impairment.
- Strong understanding of SEND, EHCPs and inclusive education.
- Ability to advise on specialist resources, access arrangements and assistive technology.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A calm, flexible and learner‑centred approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Mandatory / Desirable:
- Experience working with post-16 learners.
- Experience working in a specialist SEND setting.
