We're looking for a Project Planner to join my clients project delivery team and support the successful planning and coordination of a diverse portfolio of projects. In this role, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Engineers to plan project activities, manage resources, and help mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered on time. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in the full project lifecycle - from Tender through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyse project schedules and resource allocations using P6 and Microsoft Project
- Support project delivery teams with programme updates and assess the commercial impact of variations
- Produce Tender programmes alongside Bid teams
- Deliver monthly performance reporting to stakeholders and clients
- Apply strong planning principles including critical path analysis, variance comparisons, and terminal float analysis
Essential Requirements
- Strong planning experience on large Power or Infrastructure projects (Energy sector preferred)
- MUST have experience with the full project plan from start to finish
- Proven experience using P6 and Microsoft Project for complex engineering projects
- Solid understanding of programme reporting cycles and working within NEC contracts
- Someone who thrives under pressure and can manage multiple priorities
- A confident communicator who can collaborate with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Engineers
- A proactive individual with a strong willingness to learn
Desirable
- Experience with Earned Value Analysis
- Experience working with National Grid or other electricity transmission/generation companies
