Location: Birmingham & West Midlands

Salary: £110 - £150 per day (Dependent on experience and setting)

About the Role: RecruitED People are currently recruiting dedicated, resilient and student-focused Pastoral Officers to support secondary, SEN and alternative provision settings across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with behavioural, emotional and welfare needs
  • Managing and improving student attendance and punctuality
  • Building positive relationships with students, families and external agencies
  • Supporting safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral interventions
  • Investigating and responding to behavioural incidents where required
  • Delivering one-to-one mentoring and student support sessions
  • Working closely with SLT, safeguarding leads and pastoral teams
  • Supporting reintegration and behaviour improvement strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports and safeguarding documentation
  • Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and student engagement

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people preferred
  • Strong communication, organisation and conflict-resolution skills
  • Calm, resilient and professional approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and pastoral support processes
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with students and families
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
