Responsibilities

  • Key Person: Act as a Key Person for a group of children, maintaining up-to-date learning journals and tracking progress.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold rigorous safeguarding and health & safety policies to ensure a secure environment.
  • Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing daily feedback on their child’s wellbeing.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the Room Leader and other staff to maintain a smooth daily routine.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification: Essential minimum Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Diploma in Childcare or Early Years.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or school setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Ofsted regulations, the EYFS, and Safeguarding procedures.
  • Attributes: Energetic, reliable, and committed to a career in childcare.
  • Checks: An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
