Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
- Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
- Undertake plant strip downs, rebuilds and component repairs.
- Assist with small project works and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with a programmable logic controller (PLC) system like Siemens, Allen Bradley.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Diagnostics are performed to identify faults, malfunctions or abnormalities to determine the root cause and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line back to production.
- Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.
Qualifications
- Time served apprentice to NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Excellent Health and Safety awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and comfortably manage changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Hard working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
- Good communication skills and happy to work as part of a team or individually.
