We are looking for an empathetic, enthusiastic and flexible Support Worker to join our friendly team in Warstock, Birmingham. This service is based across multiple sites, helping service users in their own homes. You will be supporting service users in our Supported Living and Outreach service with day-to-day tasks, planning and working towards goals to promote independence.

Our service users enjoy a range of activities including barbecues, cooking and board game nights.

Support Worker Duties:
  • Providing personal care and support with domestic tasks, i.e. cooking, cleaning etc.
  • Enabling the people we support to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, to participate in the community and to develop their abilities as fully as possible.
  • Enabling them to gain independence, confidence and competence in areas such as: daily living, managing money, social skills/relationships and many more.
  • Collaborate with families of service users and involved professionals to provide a consistent service to meet individual needs.
  • Be willing to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, which may include daytimes, evenings, weekends, sleep ins and bank holidays.

A clean, valid driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role. Flexibility is crucial for this role, as you will be expected to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins to meet the needs of the service.

Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
