Requirements
- Own van or similar vehicle and Full UK driving licence with business cover and motor insurance
- Own tools
- Very good/fluent verbal English and basic written English
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Basic IT skills (use of email, internet)
- Ability to organise and plan a job
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Use of own initiative
- Basic Health & Safety knowledge
- Basic First Aid knowledge
- Previous experience within the property maintenance sector
Responsibilities
- Undertake general decorating, tiling, basic electrics (wiring sockets, etc.) and basic plumbing (tap changes, etc.)
- Perform basic carpentry tasks, including hanging doors, fitting locks, fixing bath panels
- Carry out landscaping, fencing and property/garden clearance work
- Assist with general bathroom and kitchen installation
- Act as a competent person as directed and appointed
- Work within a team to maintain Midland Mencap properties and the organisation’s residential properties in the Birmingham area
