Role Overview

The role involves delivering planned and reactive pest control services in accordance with BPCA and industry best practices. You will undertake hygiene deep cleans, waste disposal, and infection control services as required. Responsibilities include carrying out inspections to identify pest activity, potential ingress points, and hygiene risks, completing detailed site reports, and maintaining accurate service documentation via digital systems (e.g., Joblogic / Elogs). You will advise clients and site managers on preventive pest measures and hygiene improvements, work safely and professionally within high-footfall or rail environments, and ensure all equipment and chemicals are maintained, tested, and used safely and in compliance with COSHH. Support emergency callouts and high-priority reactive tasks as part of a regional rota while promoting Carlisle’s values by maintaining professionalism, discretion, and excellent customer communication.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Essential: RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or equivalent BPCA‑recognised qualification).
  • Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Essential: COSHH Awareness and Chemical Safety Training.
  • Desirable: PTS (Personal Track Safety) / Sentinel Card.
  • Desirable (training provided if required): IPAF or PASMA Certification.
  • Desirable: Enhanced DBS Clearance (undertaken on appointment).

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience delivering pest control and/or hygiene deep cleaning services in industrial, rail, or commercial environments.
  • Knowledge of pest control legislation, including Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve pest issues efficiently and discreetly.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently, travelling regionally, and managing workload effectively.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
